Sal St. George

Due to the Pandemic, as of March 2025, Sal St. George has decided to discontinue producing, writing, and directing all historical and theatrical stage shows.

Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor and a Lecturer who presents his acclaimed pop culture programs for colleges, universities, libraries, organizations and clubs.
Furthermore, he is in the final stages of writing the definitive biography of Bud Abbott, of Abbott and Costello fame. The book is entitled, Bud Abbott: The Forgotten Funnyman and should be released in 2026.

Although he is no longer offering any of these forms of award-winning entertainment featured on this page, below you will find several fine examples of Sal’s talents which he presented throughout his illustrious career in the theatrical world.
For more than 35 years, Sal St. George created historical theater for many of the nation’s most respected living history museums.

Today, Sal shares that experience through engaging historical lectures that reveal the stories behind the story and bring the past vividly to life for audiences.

Drawing on decades of work developing award-winning historical productions, Sal’s presentations offer unique insight into history, storytelling, and the art of interpreting the past.

Sal St. George is an award-winning playwright, comedy writer, director, and producer with more than 40 years of experience working with theatres, museums, historic mansions, cultural centers, and theme parks. His work has been critically and commercially acclaimed, and he is widely respected as an expert on American comedy.

Some of his most notable works include the one-act play The Spy Next Door, the award-winning play Running Scared, Running Free, and the drama I Am Not a Savage! He has also served as Creative Director for the Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson, NY, and the Town of Riverhead’s annual Edgar Allan Poe Festival.

On Monday mornings via Zoom, Sal hosts Virtual Road Trips to celebrity museums around the world. These programs have attracted thousands of viewers both in the United States and internationally.

Today, Sal is a popular lecturer and guest speaker on Classic American Comedy, 20th Century Pop Culture, and Motion Picture History. He is also an acclaimed Adjunct Professor at several colleges and universities.
